The Council

Proclaiming the truth to the world.

I was talking to a person on Twitter that thinks Jesus wasn’t against Homosexuality and was for socialism. Here is how it went:

LGBTQ Voter:

Jesus was anti-wealth.

Charlie sold out for money and he tries to push this “Jesus is king” BS? GTFOH.

TheSire:

He was actually not, but he was anti-gay.

LGBTQ Voter:

“Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God” Please show me where Jesus was anti-gay. I’ll wait.

TheSire:

Firstly, this is ground that has been already covered:

Secondly, Jesus is identified as Yahweh in several passages (John 1:1 and etc). Yahweh gave the Law to Moses. Jesus appeared to Paul and sent him to be an Apostle. Paul condemned it. Further, Jesus affirmed traditional views of marriage in the gospels and grounds it in the creation of Adam and Eve.

LGBTQ Voter:

Oh so he never directly addressed gay people? Cool, I agree. But he did DIRECTLY address rich people. Sorry if that’s inconvenient.

TheSire:

Intellectually lazy people are the only thing your movement has to offer. But, he did directly command Moses to kill them because they are an abomination to the LORD. But if that means he didn’t directly address it, then fine. He doesn’t need to in order to condemn it.

LGBTQ Voter:

Jesus DIRECTLY commanded Moses? Cool, where?

TheSire:

It’s called the Pentateuch. Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven” (Exod 17:14). And Moses wrote down all the words of Yahweh (Exod 24:4).

LGBTQ Voter:

It’s called the Torah.

Thanks for admitting he never directly addresed it.

TheSire:

I get that the L in LGBT doesn’t mean logic, but let me provide a basic argument:
If Jesus is Yahweh, then we can rightfully attribute Yahweh’s actions to him.
Jesus is Yahweh.
Ergo, we can attribute the actions of Yahweh to Christ.

LGBTQ Voter:

He indirectly addressed it because of… Keep going. Pretty soon you’ll find a way to justify your prosperity gospel nonsense too.

TheSire:

I’ve given you several different ways Jesus addressed the issue. How does anything I’ve said imply the prosperity gospel? The better question is what did God say throughout the Bible about homosexuality:
